Girl Book: #PERIODT!!

  At the tender age of 17, MsThomasRN found herself pregnant with her first child. This event would forever change her life as she vowed to never become a young, uneducated mom. She attended college and pursued several degrees in nursing, community, and public health. Her ultimate goal has always been to educate young women about their bodies and reproductive health through any portal she could.

For more than 25 years, MsThomasRN has been a women's health advocate, dedicated to the empowerment of young women and their reproductive health.

I wrote this book because I wanted to be intentional about empowering young women as they transition into this phase of their lives. Having a healthy conversation about puberty is important to your health and well-being, and it will help you deal with the changes positively and feel secure. Puberty is normal and a natural part of growing into the beautiful woman you will become.

Remember, you are a Queen. Empower and invest in yourself, and NEVER, EVER, EVER be ashamed of who you are. PERIODT!

To my baby boy Maurice, this book is dedicated solely to you. You were my motivation and inspiration when it came to writing this journal. As a young man, I’ve enjoyed watching you reach your milestones and enter into manhood, bruh. Although it may be an awkward or confusing phase of life for you, I am here to guide you through it all even when we bump heads.

Always remember, I love you more than you know, even when you’re irritable, emotional, and dealing with all the other feelings that come with puberty. Mommy ALWAYS gotcha, bruh!
